ALL-AMERICAN CONSTRUCTION

Our 12-Gauge 14-inch Drain Spade is constructed using only the toughest American-made parts – from the blade to the handle to the grip. The steel, which we source from mills around the United States, is heated treated and tempered in-house to strengthen the metal alloys inside. Plus, the closed-back adds additional strength and prevents soil buildup.

TRENCHING MADE EASIER

If you need to dig an irrigation trench, the best tool to use is without a doubt a drain spade. Ours is 5-inches wide, the perfect size for a trench, and the rounded blade and curved edges make for little soil disruption in the areas that you want to keep intact. It’s perfect for digging ditches to lay wire, irrigation pipes, or a French drain.

PERFECT FOR TRANSPLANTING

You may know this product by another name like 'sharp shooter' or 'transplanting spade'. It gets its name ‘sharp shooter’ for its ability to dig deep but narrow holes, like for placing fence posts. Some call it a 'transplanting spade' because transplanting is a task that this tool accomplishes very well since the blade is smaller in width than a shovel and won’t disrupt the roots of the surrounding foliage.
