Description
If you can buy only one scoop shovel, the Snow/Mulch Scoop Shovel by Bully Tools is the best all-purpose shovel for any project where you need to move a lot of material. It’s the perfect year-round tool for lifting and moving heavy piles of mulch, grain, gravel, snow, or debris. The Scoop Shovel is designed to never rust, it can take weather extremes from hot to cold, won’t bend or crack, and has a handle that withstands heavy loads. The oversized scoop means larger loads and more efficient work, without being bulky. The Scoop Shovel checks all the boxes. Constructed from a top-grade and lightweight polypropylene with high-quality fiberglass, it’s coated in a polyester veil to prevent splintering and increase strength, but won’t mar your wood or plastic exteriors. The D-shaped poly grip with no-slip texture is designed to increase leverage and reduce hand fatigue, while wide enough to accommodate work gloves. The longer handle means no bending and greater reach. The Bully Tools Snow / Mulch Scoop Shovel comes with a limited lifetime warranty that protects against defects in material and workmanship.

This thing is awesome. Really lightweight, but feels sturdy and durable. Great for scooping even water logged mulch right after a hard rain. Even better than I thought it would be, and I read all the reviews.

Bully makes very well engineered and manafactured tools that to stand up to a good amount of abuse and this scoop is no exception. For the average weekend warrior or homeowner this is a hand-me-down for sure. The scoop is strong, light and big. I use it for mulching and it can hold so much material that it’s actually hard to pick up when I load it to the max. I intend to use it for shoveling snow and expect it will perform well but it’s probably not engineered to shovel a lot vs. clearing steps, small walkway or that pesky area the snowblower just won’t fit. However, that’s just a guess based on my experience with various shovels vs. actually using this scoop in the snow.

I bought one of these after my Chinese/Mexican made Home Depot shovel broke the first time that i used it. My neighbors actually borrowed this
Bully shovel the second storm, after their Chinese made shovels broke. This thing is a beast. What I love about it is that I dont hardly ever have to bend
and lift snow, the handle is very long so I just push it aside off the sidewalk, it slides like a plastic sled with a ton of heavy snow on it. It does pretty good on steps as well. Mine has lasted over 5 years of
heavy use. Works great on mulch too. I

On the advice of our cabin management, I purchased two of these 8/2022, they lasted? – one season.
I don’t like to give negative reviews.
They looked sturdy enough – but renters may have abused them – I was not present during their use.
The screws holding the blade to the shafts cut into the fiberglass shafts in the act of lifting/dumping snow over a railing. This eventually allowed the loaded blade to rotate 30 degrees back and forth, accelerating the wear. Might not have happened if the tool was used solely as a scraper, but in lifting, then dumping ‘Sierra Cement’ (wet snow) they became pretty useless as shovels in one season. Otherwise the tool was great for pushing, just not for lifting/dumping HEAVY material. Perhaps this design flaw will be addressed, perhaps by a metal – rather than fiberglass – shaft, or a different attachment system.
Thanks for allowing space for comment, Bully Tools !

Perfect for my use for it— a scoop narrow enough to remove heavy snow from our residential sidewalks. It’s light, so it’s not adding to the weight I have to lift for slush and snow. Good length for me, I’m just over 6 feet tall. I use a pusher for the wide open parts, but for the sidewalks, with all the bushes hanging over with snow, this scoop is the best.

Normally, I’m a fan of Bully Tools but the snow shovel I received had the hole for the attachment screw drilled way off center, by about half an inch. This not only looks sloppy but also causes the head of the screw to pinch the plastic on one side and not have an even load distribution. The screw also projects further than the back of the shovel so if you lay the shovel down the screw will scrape and damage whatever is under it. If you hang the shovel on the wall the screw will also hit the wall or if facing out will catch anything that brushes against it. The shovel head and handle seem like they’re good quality but assembly is not.
